• The restaurant offered afantastic selection, with what was in the ballpark of over10 starters, around 5 main courses, and 3 desserts. Everything I tasted was absolutely delicious, though I couldn't finish it all by myself!

• As the picture shows, the dinner selection here clearly features a much strongerAsian and especially Arabian presence.

• The same is noticeable with the desserts.The flavors and quality were impeccable.

• Let's go over the offerings. We'll start with thedessert section, where I had the pleasure of trying manyuncommon sweets.

• Continuing with the dessert section, it might immediately strike you that there arefewer international optionsin the dessert repertoire. However, I can assure everyone that youwon't be disappointedby the selection available.

• The Anantara Gym is equipped withTechnogym equipment, offering a good variety of machines for asatisfying workout. While it's impressive for a hotel gym, it won't rival the extensive range found in larger commercial gyms.
• A standout convenience is the gym's24-hour daily operation. You can also hire a personal training session for an additional fee.Fresh towelsand awater stationare readily available for all guests.

Spa

• The Anantara Spa at Anantara Dubai provides a tranquil environment for relaxation and rejuvenation, offering a range of wellness treatments. Services include variousmassage therapiessuch as traditional Thai, deep tissue, and hot stone.
• Specializedfacialsaddress specific skin concerns, andbody rituals, including scrubs and wraps, are available. The spa is equipped withtreatment rooms, some featuring privatesteam rooms, saunas, and plunge pools. Therapists utilizepremium productsto deliver services.

Kid's Club

• Anantara Dubai's Kids Clubis a vibrant and engaging space designed to keep younger guests entertained throughout their stay. Tailored for various age groups, the club offers a diverse array of supervised activities that spark creativity and encourage active play.
• Fromarts and crafts sessions to engaging games and educational fun, there's always something exciting happening. The dedicated and friendly staff ensure a safe and stimulating environment, allowing parents to relax knowing their children are in good hands and having a memorable vacation of their own.

• Anantara's hospitality was a perfect ten out of ten, starting the moment I exited my Uber.
• I was immediately greeted with awarm welcomeby the staff,a soothing, delicious tea, and a refreshing cold towel.A gracious staff member then provided a comprehensive tour of the hotel grounds.Overall, these initial impressions were overwhelmingly positive.

• Throughout my stay,I consistently encountered exceptional service.The security staff were professional and courteous in every interaction. The gym receptionist was also incredibly helpful and friendly.
• Finally,the staff at the buffet-cafeteria were consistently attentiveto my needs at the table, always checking if everything was alright and if I required anything further.
• This consistent demonstration ofprofessional, polite, yet warm servicetruly made my experience outstanding.

• Check-in starts at 3 PM, and check-out is at 12 PM. The process was efficient and smooth. As soon as I exited my Uber, thestaff promptly took my luggage to my roomand provided me with a ticket to track it.
• Otherwise, there wasn't any special gesture from the hotel staff upon arrival.

• I had originally booked aSuperior Roomat the FIVE Palm Jumeirah Dubai, but I was fortunate enough to receive a complimentary upgrade to aLuxe Sea View room, which I'll be detailing.
• The room itself was quitecompact. Everything was in order, but there was nothing particularly outstanding about it, and itdidn't have a balcony. My impression was that it's primarily designed for sleeping and getting ready, with guests spending the better part of their day outside the room.

• Thebed and pillows were comfortable. On the nightstand beside the bed, you'll find variouselectrical outlets, filtered water, and other amenities.

• In the room, you'll find aNespresso coffee machine, coffee capsules, cups, utensils, and tea, all providedfree of charge. On the other hand, for an extra fee, you can access theminibar, which offers awide selection of alcoholic beverages, condoms, and various snacks.

• Theview was absolutely beautiful. The room overlooked thebeach, the promenade, and the Dubai cityscape. Unfortunately, this particular roomdid not come with a balcony. It's highly recommended to book a room with a balcony, especially during the not-too-hot winter season, so you can comfortably enjoy Dubai from outside.

• While the room doesn't include a universal power adapter, you caneasily request one from the reception desk.

• Beyond that, the room includes asmall armchair and a glass table, which aren't ideal for working or using a laptop, but perfect for enjoying a Jack Daniels.

• Below the television (opposite of the bed), there's anarrow, wall-mounted desk and chair, which is a much better setup for operating a laptop.

• Regarding thebathroom, I can say that it was alsoadequate and compact, but nothing outstanding. It features a decentbathtub, ashower, and abidet, along with all the basic necessities liketowels, a hairdryer, a vanity kit, soap, shampoo, and so on.

• The bathtub is comfortable, but due to its placement, it's not possible to fully stretch out, as the wall prevents it—at least for taller people like me. Otherwise, you can comfortably sit up in it. Amenities like bubble bath gel or a brush were not provided.

• The breakfast section at the FIVE Palm wasadequate, but both thevariety and quality were average. While most classic hotel breakfast items were available, itdoesn't come close to what the Atlantis offers.
• Now let's look at the offerings. We'll start with the classicmuesli section.

• Next up is thebeverage section, where you can choose from a variety offruit juices.

• Next is the classicbakery section, featuring croissants, muffins, and doughnuts.

• And of course, thefresh fruit sectionis also available, featuring watermelon, bananas, mango, and various fruit yogurts, among other options.

• Naturally, there's also a breakfast section featuringeggs and bacon.

• What I particularly liked about the cafeteria was theopen-air section, which I found incredibly iconic. The combination of the pool, relaxed environment and the FIVE Palm's trendy design simply created a wonderfullyatmospheric ambiancefor me.

• After having breakfast, it turned out there was asimilarly atmospheric second indoor breakfast section.

• Here, they serve theexact same dishesas in the other breakfast area.

• I personally found thefood presentation much more appealinghere.

• And finally, there's also aclassic bread section.

• If you're on ahalf-board plan, there's really no need to worry about lunch. Ahearty breakfastwill easily keep you going until 6 PM, when dinner service begins.
• However, if you do find yourself craving a bite, awealth of dining optionsawait you both within and outside the hotel.

• Unfortunately, due to illness, I wasn't able to attend dinner, but that's something I'll make up for in the future. Let's take a look at thedinner optionsavailable.

• BLVD on One– International brasserie with indoor and outdoor seating. Known for its bigbuffet breakfasts(Middle Eastern, Asian, and Western options), plus relaxed all-day dining.
• Cinque– Vibrant Italian restaurant inspired by the Amalfi Coast. Serveshandmade pastas, seafood, and rich dessertsin a lively, colorful setting.
• Maiden Shanghai– Award-winningChinese fine diningspot offering Cantonese, Sichuan, and Beijing classics, allMSG-free. Has a rooftop terrace with skyline views.
• Praia–Beachfront Mediterranean restaurantby the pool and private beach. Focuses on fresh seafood, tapas-style sharing plates, and cocktails at sunset.
• The Penthouse– Famousrooftop lounge and nightclubwith incredible Dubai Marina views. ServesJapanese-fusion bitesalongside champagne, cocktails, and international DJs.
• Beach by FIVE– A buzzingbeach clubwith daybeds, DJs, and a party vibe. Food includes sushi, pizzas, grilled meats, and refreshing drinks right on the sand.
• The Delisserie– A chic café and bakery withpastries, cakes, fresh juices, and light meals— perfect for a casual coffee or quick bite.
• Pool Bar– Swim-up style bar offeringsnacks, burgers, salads, and cocktailsfor a laid-back poolside experience.

• Overall, there isn't a huge amount to do or seeinside the hotel itself. The hotel's true strength lies in itsoutdoor pool and beach areas, which are the hub for all the parties and events.

• As soon as you step into the FIVE Palm lobby, you're greeted by aninteresting, bright, and glassy space. Here, you can simply look around or head right or left, where you'll find the reception, restaurants, and elevators. Personally, I really liked this lobby.

• On the right you'll find what is normally anItalian restaurant, but in the mornings, it transforms into abuffet breakfastarea.
• On this same side, you'll also find thereception desk, though unfortunately, I don't have a picture of it.

• This is what theItalian restaurantlooks like inside, which I've already described in more detail in the breakfast section.

• To the left, you'll find awaiting areawhere you can also sit down and book services with theconcierge. The entrance to thebuffet breakfastis located here as well.

• Stepping out onto the terrace of the FIVE Palm hotel, you're immediately greeted by itssignature pool. During the day, it's a perfect spot to relax poolside, while in the evenings, it transforms into the venue for vibrantpool parties.

• There areplenty of sun loungerson both sides of the pool where you can relax, have drinks, and more.

• You also have the option toenjoy drinks inside the pool, where you can conveniently store your beverages on small tables.

• To the left of the pool, in the mornings, there's abuffet breakfastarea with tables and chairs. During the day, it operates as abar restaurant.

• As we continue, we findmore sun loungers and seating areas.

• After a short walk down some stairs, you'll find achilled-out restaurant lounge, which, fortunately, isshaded.

• One part of this area has a classictable-and-chair restaurant setup, while the other offers ahigh-stool bar-like atmosphere.

• Continuing our journey, we step out onto one of thePalm Jumeirah's famous promenades. As you stroll along, you'll discover countlessshops, restaurants, bars, clubs, and hotels.

• Continuing straight ahead, we finally reach theFIVE Palm's private beach area, where you can choose asun lounger, umbrella, or cabanafor sunbathing and relaxing by the sea.

• To the right, you're immediately greeted by arestaurant and bar area.

• Meanwhile, the iconic hotels of the Palm Jumeirah trunk arewithin sight, just a1-minute walk away.

• Thebeach itself in Dubai isn't groundbreaking. During the peak winter season, the water can be unpleasantly cold, and the sand is quite coarse, which can irritate your feet. This is true for all hotels. However, at the FIVE Palm, theview of the Dubai cityscape is exceptionally beautiful.

• The sun loungers arefree for guests. Naturally, you can alsoorder various refreshments to your sun lounger.

Gym

• 24-Hour Indoor Gym:This is a state-of-the-art facility equipped with the latestTechnogym Artis lineequipment. It includes a full range of cardio machines, strength training equipment, free weights, and functional fitness tools, catering to all fitness levels. The atmosphere is often described as energetic, with modern lighting and music.
• MOVE at FIVE (Outdoor Gym):A unique and popular feature, this outdoor fitness area is designed with top-tier equipment and offers stunning views of the coastline and ocean, providing an invigorating environment for workouts.

Spa

• TheReFIVE Spaat FIVE Palm Jumeirah is a luxurious and award-winning wellness retreat. It featurestreatment rooms, a rooftop spa pool, hammam, sauna, steam room, ice baths, and cryotherapy. Services range frommassages, facials, and body treatmentsusing high-end brands tobeauty servicesandwellness activities like yoga and meditation. The spa offers a serene, stylish escape, focusing onrelaxation, recovery, and rejuvenation.

Fiver Kids Club

• Fiver Kids Clubprovides a dedicated space and activities for children, allowing parents to enjoy a worry-free vacation.

• Activities:The club typically offers a range of supervised activities to keep children entertained, including games, crafts, and various interactive experiences.
• Age Range:While specific age ranges can vary, kids clubs generally cater to children from toddler age up to pre-teens.
• Facilities:The Fiver Kids Club usually features a vibrant and safe indoor play area.

• I spent a day at the FIVE Palm and unfortunately fell ill. Despite this, I wassatisfied with the treatment from the hotel staff. As in all five-star hotels, my luggage was immediately taken to my room. Check-in at reception was quick, and they were very kind to me. I even received acomplimentary room upgrade.
• I didn't have much interaction with the security team, but my interaction with an indoor colleague was normal. I asked an outdoor security guard for directions, and he directed me very decisively and concisely. He actually seemed a bit like club security, a bit more intimidating, but my interaction wasn't negative. However, the security staff at other hotels made a better impression.
• Overall, I wassatisfied with the employees, but I missed those small, unexpected gestures and a slightly warmer welcome.

• Check-in starts at 3 PM, and check-out is at 11 AM. The process was efficient and smooth. As soon as I exited my Uber, thestaff promptlytook my luggage to my roomand provided me with a ticket to track it.
• When I arrived, the entrance and lobby didn't really have an outstandingly luxurious feel.

• I wasunable to check in early, so I had to wait in the lobby. However, I was pleasantly surprised with acomplimentary room upgrade.

• My first impression of the room is that there isnothing wrong with it, but it's not outstandingly good either.

• It's spacious and bright, the bed is large and comfortable, there are two cozy armchairs, and a sofa with a table. There's also a pretty good balcony, though unfortunately the view isn't spectacular. But to be honest,I wasn't blown away.

Food and Drinks Station

• Each room features a complimentary drink and snack station with aNespresso machine,coffee capsules, tea, instant coffee andbottled water.

• The first drawer contains a selection of cups and glasses alongside the tea and coffee.

• The minibar contents were available for an additional charge, but the selection was extremely sparse and simple.

• Thebalconyalso had two comfortable chairs and a small table. Unfortunately, palmtrees partially obstructed the view,and I wish I had asked for a different room. While the trees are not an issue on the upper floors, the building is only five stories tall, so a truly high vantage point with a cityscape view isn't possible.

• The area directly below my balcony was primarily active in the evenings, with booth seating surrounded by water.

• My only complaint about the bathroom is that, contrary to the pictures, there was no door next to the bathtub that opened into the living room.
• Otherwise, it was fully equipped, providingtowels, ahairdryer,bathrobes,shampoo,shower gel, and avanity kit. For convenience, it was also equipped with ashower, abathtub, and abidet.

• Enjoy perfect water pressure and aconsistent temperaturewith no sudden fluctuations. And, as expected from a five-star standard,shampoo,conditioner, andshower gelare all provided.

• The breakfast was satisfactory overall, but it certainly wasn't exceptional. It didn't come close to the standard set by the Atlantis, which is the benchmark for hotels on Palm Jumeirah. As for the staff, while they performed their duties, they were not particularly friendly or energetic. The breakfast selection leaned heavily towards Russian cuisine.

Lobby

• The hotel lobby is the most significant part of the indoor space, as there isn't much else to do or see inside.
• My only complaint, and I apologize for repeating this, is that for the same price, I could have stayed at theRoyal Atlantis. The lobby, in my opinion, simply did not deliver theultra-luxury qualitythat one would expect at this price point.

• Upon entry, you step into avast areafeaturingseating, a few shops from less-familiar brands, and theconcierge.

• Go down the stairs to the left of the entrance to reach theoutdoor areaor theA la Turca buffet restaurant, which serves both breakfast and dinner.

• There are one or twoluxury brandshops in the lobby, but they are not from well-known brands.

• A small cafe is also available, offeringcomplimentary snacks and drinks.

• There is not much to see in thiscorridorother than a few seating areas. It serves as the pathway from the lobby to the otherwise excellentgym.

• First, take a quick detour to asecluded open-air area. Here, you'll findcabanaswithprivacy curtains, nestled within a water feature and complete witharmchairsfor casual relaxation.

• Leaving the main building, you step out into the hotel'svast outdoor area.

• Immediately to the left is the open-air section of theA La Turca buffet restaurant, complete with tables for dining.

• To the left, you can reserve semi-coveredluxurious poolside beds,

• Next, you will arrive at the large central pool area, where you'll find theBodrum restaurant. It is important to note that this eatery primarily offers drinks and beach-friendly snacks rather than full meals.

• The pool area is very child- and family-friendly, so you should not expect muchquiethere.

• The rows ofsunbedsat the pool felt a bit too crowded and were placed too closely together for my liking.

• There is acovered outdoor areawherefitness classesare held for guests.

• There is also a very interestinggym sectionfilled withwooden hand weights.

• Continuing on, you will reach a quieter beach section and a bay where aluxury yachtis docked which can be rented.

• Water sports enthusiasts have several options available, such asjetskiing,water skiing,banana boating, and more.

• This map provides a general overview of the hotel from abird's-eye view.

• Continuing on, you will find a restaurant withoutdoor seatingand astage, which likely hosts various shows.

• A beach area is classically packed withsunbeds, and there is a designatedswimming areain the sea.

• You can also rent unique,wooden boat & sunbed combos, which would likely impress children.

• There is also a largegrassy areawhere guests were playingsoccer.

• Next, there is alap poolfor guests who wish to do some serious swimming.

• There is a dedicated,high-quality play areafor children, which is both separate and supervised. It features a minimerry-go-round, andsunbedsare also available for adults who want to relax while keeping an eye on their children.

• There is also another part of the play area that is just like a small playground, complete with asandpitandclimbing structures.

• You'll also find aslide.

• A secondpool areais located at the back of the hotel.

• Additionally, you will find a smalljacuzzipool here.

• The first pool also features a veryshallow,child-friendlysection.

Gym

• I was pleasantly surprised to find that thegymat the Rixos is exceptionallywell-equipped. It is open from7 AM to 9 PM.

• The gym is quite well-equipped. TheTechnogymmachines arenewandhigh-quality. While the room is not huge, you can find the main machines for every muscle group.

• You can findtowelsandwaterin the gym, free of charge.

Rixy Kid's Club

• TheRixy Kids Clubat Rixos The Palm Dubai is an well-equipped facility that stands out for its wide range of activities and dedicated staff.
• The club provides an incredible variety of activities, from fun, hands-on experiences to unique outdoor adventures. Children can participate in creative pursuits likecanvas and bag painting, and engage in dynamic activities likekids fly yogaand even adragon boat trip.
• The club also offers a diverse program of children’sevening entertainment. The animation team is a huge part of the club's success, with their incredible effort and care in looking after the children.
• The staff's personalized attention, such as a team member taking the time to get to know a child so well, is a common experience, and it is a testament to the club's appeal that children often struggle to leave.

Spa

• The Anjana Spa at Rixos The Palm Dubai is a Turkish-inspired spa known for its focus on traditional Hammam rituals. It provides a luxurious and serene escape, offering a wide array of treatments from authentic Turkish experiences to various massages, facials, and body therapies.
• The spa is a sanctuary of relaxation, featuring a classic Hammam, saunas, a steam room, and an ice fountain. Guests can indulge in signature treatments like the Anjana Hammam and Sultan Ceremony, which involve traditional techniques such as foam massages and body scrubs. The spa also offers a range of international therapies, including Swedish, Balinese, and deep tissue massages, and uses high-quality products from brands like Vagheggi and Hydropeptide. It operates from 9 AM to 9 PM and is an adults-only space, welcoming guests aged 16 and above.

From the luggage handler to the concierge, the staff was kind and efficient, and they fulfilled all my needs. An early check-in was not possible, so I had to wait, but I understand that this depends on room availability and I didn't give prior notice. A kind hotel employee even accompanied me to my room with my luggage.

However, the staff at the main buffet restaurant was less perfect. While they did their jobs, they were not particularly cheerful or energetic. Elsewhere, I had no issues with the staff, including those in other restaurants, security, and the gym receptionist.

Overall, there was a sense ofwearinessamong the staff. They were not as consistently kind and professional as the staff at the benchmark hotel, the Atlantis. 3.5 out of 5.
